Proposal Defense

1. Required documents for proposal defense application:

a. With the approval from your thesis advisor, please submit the “Proposal Defense Application Form”   to the faculty office.
The supervising professor will designate at least one faculty member to serve as a commentator for the oral examination; the commentator field should be filled in with the commentator's name only, not the supervising professor's name.
 

b. Submit your proposal defense to the panel of assessors about one to two weeks before the proposal defense and confirm the date and time of the proposal defense with them.

2. Preparation on the Actual Proposal Defense Day:
 

a. A copy of the “Proposal Defense Initial Assessment Form”   for each assessor.

b. A copy of the “Amendment to the Thesis Proposal Agreement Form”     is to be completed if changes to the proposal is required.  

c. Please submit the above document(s) to the faculty officer after the end of the proposal defense.

After passing the proposal defense, you can apply for the thesis defense from the beginning of a new school term till the end of the 16th week.
