All enrolled students—whether local Taiwanese, overseas Chinese, Mainland Chinese, or international—are eligible to apply for a scholarship which is distributed at the end of each semester.


🎉Each semester, a scholarship of NT$50,000 is awarded to qualified students as part of our commitment to supporting your academic and spiritual development.

✨To be eligible, students must participate in the department’s distinctive

🍀communal living and shared meals program, which fosters experiential learning through daily practice, and
🍀maintain passing grades in their coursework.

This initiative is designed to help you integrate Buddhist theory with lived practice, deepening both intellectual understanding and personal growth.

Flexible Housing Options with Unique Opportunities

Students who prefer alternative accommodation—whether it’s another university’s dormitory or private housing—have the flexibility to make their own living arrangements. However, please note that eligibility for the DBS Scholarship is linked to participation in the communal living experience outlined in the Practice Courses. Choosing a different housing option would mean opting out of this scholarship opportunity.
