On September 2, 2024, the summer "Japanese Yogacara Buddhist Dictionary Translation Training Workshop" successfully launched, with 15 in-person participants and 24 online learners. Led by Professor Chen Ibiao and Venerable Ci Yi, the workshop focused on translating Japanese scholar Hiroshi Yokoyama's Yogacara Buddhist Dictionary into Chinese. The program included both theoretical and practical translation training, tailored to participants' needs.

Prior to the workshop, a 24-hour online course provided a grammar foundation for participants. The event aimed to enhance translation skills, deepen understanding of Yogacara philosophy, and promote Sino-Japanese Buddhist cultural exchange. This project is expected to provide valuable academic resources for Chinese Buddhist studies and support the internationalization of Buddhist research.

Participants expressed enthusiasm for improving their Japanese skills and contributing to Buddhist scholarship.
