Scholarship
The College of Buddhist Studies encourages students to advance in their academic pursuits, integrate Buddhist practice, and support financially disadvantaged students in pursuing their education with peace of mind.
Through comprehensive scholarship and financial aid resources, students are guided to balance the study of Buddhist teachings with social engagement, cultivating professionals endowed with both wisdom and compassion.
1. Departmental Scholarships
Venerable Master Hsing Yun established the “Buddhist Studies Elite Scholarship” through the “Million-People Education Fund,” supporting students in their in-depth exploration and practice of Buddhist studies.

2. Fo Guang Financial Aid
Available for students from financially disadvantaged backgrounds or those facing special difficulties.
Support includes living subsidies and academic assistance.
This program encourages students to study with peace of mind, focusing on Buddhist learning and life practice.
Eligibility: Open to applicants holding R.O.C. (Taiwan) nationality only.
3. Other Scholarships and Subsidies
From time to time, the department provides awards for students with excellent academic performance, outstanding service, strong language ability, or special expertise in Buddhist-related fields.
Support may include research funding, language-learning incentives, and international exchange subsidies, enabling students to gain both professional knowledge and cross-cultural experience.
