The Dean of the College of Buddhist Studies, Prof. Chao-Shun Kuo, emphasized the significance of hearing, contemplation, and practice (闻思修) in his remarks. He encouraged faculty and students to integrate these principles into their lives, fostering a society rooted in truth, beauty, and goodness. He also expressed gratitude to the students for their dedication and volunteer spirit, which exemplifies the bodhisattva way amid their busy academic and service commitments.
The Dean of the College of Creativity and Technology, Dr. Yuan-Fu Hsieh, also attended the event, joining the faculty and students in celebrating. He praised the thoughtful planning and vibrant atmosphere of the event, which created a warm and heartfelt year-end gathering.
Organized by the Student Association of the Department of Buddhist Studies, the “Dharma Joy Year-End Appreciation Party” was a delightful and lively event. The evening began with a graceful performance by the guzheng ensemble, followed by an impressive Tai Chi double-sword performance, fashion show, singing showcase, Indian santoor music, group singing, and a lively lucky draw. The event was filled with applause, laughter, and joy, creating a festive atmosphere.
This year-end celebration not only brought warmth and a sense of unity to the faculty and students as the semester concluded but also strengthened the camaraderie within the College of Buddhist Studies. It infused the new year with boundless hope and blessings.
