In today’s world filled with complex ethical challenges and diverse value systems, how does Buddhism respond to these issues? How can the integration of ethical philosophy and the Dharma help us find balance in a pluralistic world? The Center for Buddhist Studies at Fo Guang University cordially invites you to the Workshop on Ethical Living in a Complex World, an academic event dedicated to exploring Buddhist ethics in relation to contemporary societal issues.

This workshop brings together four renowned scholars to examine the application and challenges of Buddhist ethical thought across different times and contexts. Topics include dialogue between Buddhist teachings and diverse embodied practices, contemporary animal ethics, and the measurement of interspecies suffering, spanning fields such as religious philosophy, gender studies, and ecological ethics.
