On December 27th, all the teachers and students of the Buddhist College, accompanied by blessings from afar, holding large apples given by their master, expressed gratitude to the many good connections throughout the year as the year draws to a close. The event "Year-end Appreciation Dinner - Cloud and Water Night Show" was organized by the spontaneous planning and team performances of the Buddhist Studies Department Student Association.

Dean Prof. Chao-Shun Kuo of the College of Buddhist Studies encouraged everyone to "dwell in impermanence with gratitude," stating, "Even though we may not yet have mastered the Buddha's equanimity, let us, as this year draws to a close, express gratitude for every impermanence of this year, and especially thank every person who has helped us and illuminated our future in some moment, in some corner of life."

The Cloud and Water Zither Ensemble opened the event with pieces such as "Chasing Flowers," performed by nearly 20 people including Venerable Jueguan and Teacher Ting-Ya Chang, with Yun-Ting Yu performing on the violin. Lu Hong-Lin, Tseng Pei-Ying, and Wang Yu-Hao sang the Cantonese song "Boundless Oceans Vast Skies"; Hsu Yu-Jung performed an excellent interpretation of Tai Chi Sword; freshmen performed a creative song and dance; Secretary Lin Zhi-Yu and her child, Chia-Cheng Shi, participated, with popular singer Cheng-Cheng Wang playing "The Grapes Are Ripe" on the erhu. Venerable Yan-Yin, Venerable Guan, and Huang Yun-Ling sang "Wish Upon a Star"; Hsu Jui-Yen and Lin Bo-An performed a Japanese comedy skit "Monologue - Monologue!"; Lewis led a grand chorus of "Santa Claus is Coming to Town," bringing the event to a successful close, welcoming the arrival of the new year of "Clouds and Water in Freedom, Harmony, and Joy."
