On June 19, our doctoral student Venerable Zhi Quan represented the Department of Buddhist Studies at Fo Guang University at the 19th Sakyadhita International Conference, presenting her research paper in English titled "The Dharma-Propagating Efforts of Post-War Taiwanese Bhikṣuṇīs: Venerable Tian Yi and Venerable Tzu Hui."

What is especially admirable is that Venerable Zhi Quan traveled alone to Malaysia and completed the entire process—from registration to participation and onsite academic exchange—entirely in English. Her work showcases the determination and grounded practice of the younger generation of Buddhist women.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to Professor Cheng Wei-Yi, who has continuously offered meticulous guidance and encouragement, enabling students to step onto the global stage and engage in broader Buddhist dialogues.
