Sometimes, we must dare to go beyond our expectations, undergo a period of challenges, and discover that we can go farther than imagined. We, students from Fo Guang University's Department of Buddhist Studies, came to Heidelberg University in Germany to participate in a three-month Chinese Buddhist Manuscript Collation Research Project.

I am grateful to Professor Tsai Sui-Ling of Heidelberg University for her guidance and for giving us the opportunity to come and learn. I am also thankful for the devoted  faculty of the Department of Buddhist Studies, particularly Professor Hsin-Yi Lin, who tirelessly assisted and guided us. I am especially thankful to my dearest dissertation advisor, Professor Wan Jin-Chuan. I have been learning the skills of Buddhist textual research, cataloging, and textual criticism under his guidance. He has always said that this knowledge is like practicing horse stance; it's an essential skill to establish a solid foundation in Buddhist studies. With patience and diligence, one can excel at it. Before departing, he specially conveyed warm encouragement, giving me immense confidence and strength. To be able to learn from such an excellent teacher is truly the supreme blessing for us students of the Buddhist Studies Department. 336095741_741759514344274_718016416993028001_n

Furthermore, I would like to extend my gratitude to Venerable Miaojia, who always  supported us, occasionally giving us wake-up calls. It's because of your encouragement that I found the courage to break out of my comfort zone. I also want to thank many senior classmates for their support, allowing us to shine brightly here. With numerous positive causes and conditions, a heart full of gratitude arises.

I would also like to offer my gratitude to you, Venerable Master. With your blessings, I will strive forward.
